About Dan Orozco

I enjoy learning, reading, & thinking about important life areas. Over the years, I’ve accumulated over 2,000 books on  a number of practical topics. However, today, I spend more time thinking and writing.

I graduated with a degree in computer engineering from the University of Scranton. By applying the principles I’ve learned from success oriented books, I accomplished several important career goals in the span of 10 years. That includes 8 promotions over the first 10 years post graduation. Today, I’m an engineering director at a Fortune 1000 corporation. I am passionate about my work and the problems I get to tackle.

In late 2009 and early 2010, I personally discovered new methods of thinking; as a result of reflecting on my personal experiences. The “methods of thought” that I identified allowed me to have substantially greater control over my circumstances. I continued to develop and discover newer methods of thinking through 2013.

In 2013, I discovered the works of Ayn Rand. I have the most affinity for her philosophy. I read “Objectivism: The Philosophy of Ayn Rand” by Leonard Peikoff. I strongly identify with the points presented in the book; the method of reasoning described; and the point of view described by Objectivism. Objectivism closely aligns with my personal discovery of new methods of thought, which started 2010.

Today, I identify myself as an objectivist. The ideas, principles, and propositions described by the philosophy, closely aligned with my own personal intellectual journey.
